Basic Marketing, Mastering Social and More: Upcoming Workshops from Marin SBCD
Novato is home to many thriving small businesses, and the Marin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is an effective resource for current and aspiring small business owners. Their upcoming calendar of events covers a diverse range of small business topics, and features two events set to take place in Novato.
On Wednesday April 17th, as part of their Business Basics series, instructor Janet Wentworth will be leading a workshop on Marketing at the College of Marin’s Indian Valley Campus. Janet is a marketing consultant and the author of The Unstoppable Brand. This is a great opportunity for would-be entrepreneurs to get insights into marketing basics from a seasoned industry professional who has a passion for sharing marketing knowledge.
On Thursday the 18th, instructor Stephanie Koehler, Executive Director of the Downtown Novato Business Association and Founder of SAKinterMedia, is offering a class in Intermediate Social Media at the College of Marin’s Kentfield location. Focused on businesses who already have a social media presence but seek social growth, this class is a great opportunity to workshop improvements to your social media presence. Participants are recommended to bring a laptop or tablet for tips and tricks you can put into action then and there.
Back in Novato on Wednesday April 24th, From Kitchen to Market is a window into the world of specialty foods. Instructor Anni Minuzzo is a SBDC Specialty Foods Business Advisor with over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, 20 of which were spent owning a wholesale baking company. Whether you already own a food manufacturing business or you’re simply curious about the process of turning a food idea into something sellable in supermarkets, this workshop is sure to be packed with food industry insights.
